Handheld build planner
Will it fit on the pins, and will it boot?
A pocket deck is one small board doing a laptop's job: a screen, a keyboard, a radio, a battery. List what is on your bench and the page reads every bus and signal, lays a first pin map on the board's pinout, totals the current on each rail and estimates the battery runtime - flagging pin shortfalls, I2C address clashes, 5 V parts on 3.3 V boards and boot-strapping traps. Then ask for a build check, and for the first sketch wired to the pin map you settle on.

What the page sees
The rules the page uses
- Pins: shared bus lines count once (I2C 2, SPI 3, I2S 3), each serial device 2, every other signal 1; a key matrix needs rows + columns. Free pins exclude ESP32 GPIO6-11 (flash) and the USB serial pair.
- I2C clash = two parts with the same address on one bus. Logic: a 3.3 V-only part on a 5 V board, or a 5 V signal into a 3.3 V board, needs a level shifter.
- Rails: parts are summed on the rail they draw from against a typical limit for the board's regulator; peaks count radio bursts, SD writes and servo moves.
- Runtime = capacity x a usable share (LiPo 80%, AA 70%, power bank 65%) / typical draw. Under the target is worth a look; under half is a fix.
- Rethink = any fix flag. Adjust = any worth-a-look flag. Build = none.
- Every current is a typical figure for a common breakout module - an estimate, not a measurement of your parts. Pin facts follow the boards' public pinouts.
3 Build check
Metered. The builder reads the parts, the page's flags and its draft map, and answers the way an experienced maker would: build, adjust or rethink, a pin map for the build as it should be wired, the must and should changes, the power picture and a build order. The page re-checks every pin it names.
Take it with you
The Markdown carries the parts, the flags, both replies and the page's checks. The .csv is the map on the pinout card right now.
